Postal voting begins
A total of 541,131 registered voters will use their Postal Vote today & tomorrow for the Presidential Election scheduled for January 8, 2015.
Postal voting begins today and will continue till tomorrow for the Presidential Election scheduled for January 8, 2015. December 30 has been included as an additional day for those who were unable to vote on the earlier two days, due to unavoidable circumstances.
There are 541,131 registered voters for Postal Voting. The Department has handed over polling cards to the Postal Department to be delivered to eligible voters, which include public servants, Police and Armed forces personnel and those selected for elections duty and essential services, during election time.
PAFFREL election observers have reported that a peaceful atmosphere is prevailing in the polling stations.
